Cast Iron Shots Chilled Iron Shots

Chilled Iron shots are round in shape having white structure made from cast iron scrap or pig iron having Carbon in excess of 1.7 and upto 3.5 % and hardness above 750 HV / 63 RC.

These are widely used for cleaning in foundries, in castings for sand removal, for air blast applications, for removing of old paints, cleaning of castings and metallurgical materials, for blasting of stone and for cutting of stone. Furthermore, these are also suitable for etch structural steel and components prior to coating with paint, metal spray & plastics. 
 
Salient Features:

• Used in surface preparation for electroplating, enameling, painting

• shot-blast leaning of castings, forgings, rolled steel before and after heat treatment. 

It is round in shape & used for shot blasting of MS plates for surface preparation of ship industry.It has having hardness range of HRC 62+- .In accordance with the standard IS : 4683 - 1982

Specific Gravity - 7.0 and above.
